What exactly is it? A painting or something textured? Can you describe it? How does it fit with the color scheme? Do YOU like it?

It's a painting that spans the slanted wall of our renovated attic bedroom. The walls are a beige-ish mocha color so we were worried that there wouldn't be enough color to compete and came up with this idea. I'm not sure exactly what technique it is but the closest thing I could find was something called the French Brush technique. Basically just put a few colors on the wall (light beige, helios yellow, intense reddish orange, adn chocolate brown) in splotches and then took a wet brush and in large sweeping motions blended them into one another to various degrees. I'm actually suprised it came out so well since I've never done anything remotely similar to it.
Like I said, I don't think it's for everyone, but we really do like it. We're just waiting on the new carpet to finish the room off.
Bryan - I was just getting ready to email you for the new site. Glad you found me first. Keep posting pictures, it's a great addition to your writing.
Thanks Beau. Thanks for the description as well. Now it all makes sense. I have trouble taking on projects in my house as I am single. It must be fun to have someone to do things with, such as projects. Maybe one day it will happen for me. If it does, he will be a very busy guy, because the projects are adding up and not getting done. Have a great day. BRYAN
I have been reading the archives of my favorite blogs (yours, no milk, and my boyfriend is a twat) as time permits.
I have discovered that you are a knitter as well. Cool. Currently have two projects going myself.
You still knitting? I laughed hard at the Michael Jackson comment in the "PURL" post.

I don't know if I could sleep with that in my bedroom, but it's pretty darn groovy. I never would have thought to do something like that. Awesome!
Hope you have another post soon. I have been checking everyday. By the way, I had a painting party last night and got my 'hallway' done.
