This whole corneal flap thing freaks me out. FREAKS ME OUT!!

Shel,
If you're not into the flap, you can have PRK which essentially has the laser abraiding your cornea on the outside. Of course you'll be blind and in pain for five days but if the flap bothers you that much. My doc gave me all the options and I'm like, "CUT ME"! 15 minutes total for both eyes after work and I'm back to work first thing the next morning.

Yeah I bet, back to work the next morning! Like don't you have any sick days? Go easy on yourself, the original eyes have helped you through your master's program by then, cut them some slack!

oh, the whole idea of anybody doing anything to my eyes makes me squeamish. But I've known people that had it done & they were generally really happy with it.
