Boy Meets Boy was wonderfully done. I was afraid they were going to portray gays in a poor, stereotypical light (much like Queer Eye!). I couldn't be more happy w/ how it turned out.

Bravo, Bravo!

Hey,

I'm a straight gal and find Carson a hoot. I just want to know how long it takes for those guys to go back to being the slobs they were? A day a week a month? that back hair you know he did not keep up with the wax jobs. As a rule I hate reality shows. Have only watched one episode of the Bachloreett (my ex BF was hot for her and I looked at it as forplay to get the fire going in him.) I hate to admitt... but me and and my best friend are hooked on BMB. Unreal. I cant wait for it to end so I can quit watching this train wreck.

I am a gay man who LOVES Boy meets Boy and I just have to wonder what is up the butts of all these uptight politically correct queers who can't loosen up to enjoy this show. I think it is one of the most positive gay shows on television because it's premise is that you can't tell who is gay and who is straight and it is all about breaking down stereotypes. As for the twist, get over it! It's not cruel and they all know it's just a GAME. If there was no twist to make it juicy and interesting it would not be fun to watch!!!

I saw "Queer Eye" and found it to be, in the least, entertaining. Later, when I came across "Boy Meets Boy", I was interested to see what this claimed 'revolution' of 'gay' programming was all about. Why would I expect anything less than a disgusting exploitation and objectification of gay culture? The episode this week of "Boy Meets Boy" was the first I've seen (I don't watch much TV) and I couldn't even watch the entire program. People compare the twist with that of Joe Millionaire, but it was my understanding that Millionaire did not seek to hurt those participants who were good, honest people in search of love. Rather, it seemed, from what I heard, that the women who were laughed at somewhat deserved it for being vain and money hungry! "Boy Meets Boy" has just reaffirmed my decision to leave the TV off, unless there's something good on Discovery....

I'm in total agreement with you regarding "Boy Meets Boy". What a snoozer! However, one of my vices has been "Queer Eye...". I can't help it!

I missed Boy Meets Boy, and from the discussion here I'm just as glad I did. I think Queer Eye is silly and annoying, but I have to admit that I've watched every episode. It's at least a little entertaining, I guess. And I do have to admit that I laughed out loud at Carson's question upon seeing the apartment this week: Do you have bad credit or just bad taste?

Wow. And I thought I was alone. I fell asleep. But the worst part about that was that all my straight friends watched it and acted surprised when I said I feel asleep.

PS: Chris: Gratuitous Nudity? Someone went to see Naked Boys Singing.

I had the fortune of staying over at a friends house last night...dog sitting. I sat through the first "Queer eye" ep. Then they started "Boy meets boy" after about 20 minutes, the dog and I decided to go for a walk and come back in time for the final cut. Obviously I didn't miss anything.

Regarding QE, I agree Carson is fun. Kyan is cute. I watch it because I've been tragically denied the "gay fashion and decorating gene". Unfortunately my apartment is decorated in "Late Sunday Dumpster Dive" and my clothes are all "VF Factory Outlet" seconds. Thank god I have my self-deprecating sense of humor and stunning good looks!

Right on, Beau--it was boring, boring, boring--why not just make a five-minute "Who's gay, who's straight?" quiz and show it between episodes of "Queer Eye..." (which I still adore)?
