Heaven help us…we’ve started giving Tivo’s as gifts.
Replicants are like any other machine; they're either a benefit or a hazard.
After buying 2 pairs of size 6 aluminum needles, 3 skeins of acrylic/wool blend yarn in varying hues, 2 more skeins of acrylic practice yarn, ‘Stich’n Bitch’, ‘How to Knit’ CD ROM, and a few other odds and ends, all at a total of $43.27, the knitting has begun. All I can say is thank God for both the book AND the CD-ROM or we never would have figured out the simple but intricate flow of loops and knots…and ibuprofen as I now have repetitive stress injury in my left rotator-cup from the high-strung, anxiety-produced “clutch of death” I had on my needles. All that led to continually knitting small, tight loops which in an ass is a good thing but in knitting was enough to cause me to knit and then unravel 38 out of the 41 times I set out to make a 5-inch swatch. I’m assured via written and oral communications that relaxation is a welcomed by-product of knitting but I can tell you from an entire night of knitting in my dreams that just isn’t something that’s landed on our doorstep yet.
